Introduction

The GIGABYTE GO OC 2010 Qualifier aims to further cement GIGABYTE’s leadership in the socket LGA 1366 market segment by inviting top overclockers to compete for new performance records. In order to participate, contestants must use a GIGABYTE motherboard.

Activity

The GIGABYTE Overclocking Qualifier Contest starts on 10th of May 2010. From 10th of May 2010 till 10 of June 2010 participants can send their results for qualification. The benchmarks must run on a GIGABYTE motherboard with X58 chipset. During qualification the results must be delivered via GIGABYTE Overclocking website (http://overclocking.gigabyte.de).

One overclocker per region (BNL (Belgium, Netherlands), DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden) can qualify for the European Regional Final (date and location will be announced in short) to get the ticket for GO OC 2010 worldwide final event in Taipei, Taiwan. GIGABYTE will pay the costs for travelling, will arrange the location, necessary hardware and LN2. The participant with the best result will win the contest and main prize. Any recourse to courts of law is excluded. The prizes cannot be changed.

  • OS: Windows XP 32/64bit, Windows Vista32/64bit, Windows7 32/64bit
  • Utility Software: Super_Pi_Mod-1.5 and wPrime version 1.55 (downloads available on HWBOT website), use undefined version will not be qualified.
  • Cooling method: OPEN

Benchmarks

Total, there are 2 benchmark categories Super Pi mod 1.5 (1M) and Wprime 32M. Below are the details for the score submission. In case of a tie, contestant with the fastest  Super Pi 1m is declared the winner.
1.    Super Pi mod 1.5 (1M)
2.    Wprime 32M

Rules

  1. Contestants can send their results only once.
  2. One overclocker per region (BNL (Belgium, Netherlands), DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden) can qualify for the European Regional Final
  3. Contestants with the lowest seconds (Super Pi 1m+Wprime 32m) at the end of the competition will be declared champion.
  4. Contestants need to submit (upload) 2 benchmark screenshots for Super Pi mod 1.5 (1M) and Wprime 32M. Screenshots need to have 3 CPUz pages(CPU, Motherboard and memory information page) and one benching mark result or the score won’t be verified. If contestant sumbit score with same clock of finished 2 benchmarks in one screenshot is allowed, score need to be acitved by the real clock, if adjusted the CPU clock after benchmark will lose qualification.
  5. Contestants have to upload the photo of their platform used for competition (Any contestant with more than one ID registered will be disqualified.

  6. Rules and regulations for European Regional Final and Worldwide Final will be announced separately.

Eligibility requirements

You can take part if you are 18 years or older and if you have a constantly domicile in one of the following European countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Iceland, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. Members of GIGABYTE and hardware partners and their families are not allowed to take part in this contest.

GIGABYTE is allowed to ban participants that deliver incomprehensible answers and try to manipulate or influence the competition – especially by blockage, threats and disruption of team members and other participants’ action.

GIGABYTE reserves the right to request a copy of the participants ID card to proof the age.

Data privacy

GIGABYTE will not collect personal data via these websites unless given to us voluntarily or having received your consent content by the corresponding point in the menu. Your personal data will not be used for advertising and market research purposes.
