GIGABYTE Announces GO OC EU Regional Finals

GIGABYTE, a leading manufacturer of motherboards today is pleased to announce the regional finals of the 3rd annual GIGABYTE Open Overclocking Championship (GO OC 2010) are underway, with the European Regional Final competition to be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 in Palmas de Mallorca, Spain in the MELIÃ PALAS ATENEA Hotel.

For two months Europe’s top overclockers have been battling it out in GO OC 2010 country qualifiers in Benelux, Czech Republic/Slovakia, France, DACH, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Nordics, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia/Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, UK, and the Ukraine. The winners of each country qualifier will compete in the European regional final on July 16th where 5 winners will emerge as the European representatives to go on to the global final competition in Taiwan during September, 2010.

The champion of the European GO OC 2010 Regional Final will not only earn the title of Europe’s No. 1 seeded overclocker, but will also receive prizes valued well over US$ 3,000, including a round-trip ticket to Taiwan for the GO OC Global Final Competition. Competitors will use the highly respected GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD7 motherboard, GV-R56OC-1GI VGA card (ATI chipset), Intel® Core™ i7-980X Extreme Edition processor, KINGSTON memory and Cooler Master PSU providing a reliable, high-performance platform for achieving the best possible OC results.
